Stargrazer Beta!


That's it: Stargrazer Beta is uploaded. After much procrastination, I decided to push this build, even though there are a few things I'd still like to add gameplay-wise.

But first, what's new:

- Overhauled quite a lot of the visual effects, including charging the ship - important since that's the main feedback you get when you are 'grazing' a star!

- Added sound effects for most things. Some of these are fun little easter eggs: for instance, the sound of the stars is derived from the actual audio produced by NASA on the basis of their electromagnetic data. All the sound was produced on an iPad - there are ton's a great apps for producing and manipulating sounds, and this was loads of fun.

- Added some in-game state saving, so you can jump in where you left off.

Which brings me to one of the 'missing' features - some feedback suggested the orbit-puzzles might be a bit too hard, so I'd like to add a 'return to checkpoint' feature to avoid having to start from scratch if you mess up. Hopefully soon...
